Former Aptos CEO Launches $50M Crypto Fund Targeting Asia’s Web3 and AI Startups
Mo Shaikh, former CEO of Aptos Labs, has unveiled Maximum Frequency Ventures (MFV) — a $50 million investment vehicle targeting early-stage crypto infrastructure, consumer blockchain applications, and AI-native networks. The fund has already deployed $5 million across six Asian startups, signaling aggressive momentum in a region increasingly seen as crypto's next growth frontier.
MFV's strategy mirrors the early-stage focus of Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, combining venture capital with hands-on accelerator support. "Asia's regulatory clarity and engineering talent make it the logical epicenter for web3's next evolution," said a fund representative, highlighting particular interest in decentralized AI protocols and layer-2 scaling solutions.
